Description

From grassy and non-irrigated vineyard. The meticulous selection of the grapes is followed by destemming, then fermentation for approximately 18 days at a controlled temperature of 26/27°C, with frequent pumping over. Aged in oak barrels.

Tasting

Very intense ruby red colour, almost impenetrable. On the nose initially fruity hints of wild blackberry, morello cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant, which intersect with spicy tertiary nuances and light notes of toasting and tobacco. Decisive sip, with soft and round tannins on a slightly bitter background. The structure is that of an important wine, full-bodied and with good aromatic persistence.

Pairings

It pairs best with meat dishes from traditional Friulian cuisine. For example, it can be well accompanied with cotechino, musetto with brovada, pork ribs, baked pork shank. Also excellent with game dishes.
