The History
The history of the winery is strongly linked to the town of Barbara, a medieval village in the heart of the Marche region, where Stefano’s parents ran a bakery. In 1994 Stefano Antonucci left his banking career and returned to the village of his childhood to found the current winery based in an old monastery.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards, all aged between 25 and 40 years, are immersed in an optimal microclimate, magnificently exposed, and rooted in a medium-textured clay and limestone soil. The Guyot training system is adopted for Verdicchio and other white grapes, while the spurred cordon is preferred for the red varieties. Barriques and tonneaus rest in the ancient winerys of the monastery, naturally perfect for refining wines.
