Renato Ratti

Renato Ratti is a key figure in the evolution and affirmation of modern Barolo. It was he who introduced the concept of Cru to the Langhe, recognizing the peculiarities of each area and sub-area and enhancing their differences. His vision led to less invasive winemaking, targeted refinement and an approach inspired by French tradition. Since 1965 the historic Cantina Ratti has been based in La Morra and in 2005 it was completely renovated with a discreet and harmonious architecture, perfectly integrated into the landscape.
