The products of Alois Lageder
The History
In 1823, Johann Lageder began trading in wines in Bolzano. Subsequent generations purchased vineyards, with Alois III well understanding the potential of Alto Adige’s climatic variety in 1934 and starting wine production. In 1963, with the death of Alois III, his wife and eldest daughter found themselves having to manage the winery, until in the 1970s his younger brother Alois IV took command with his sister and his brother-in-law, winemaker Luis von Dellemann .
Terroir & Winery
The production is divided into three lines: Classic Vines, Compositions and Masterpieces. The first is made with grapes from suppliers, the second involves the use of own grapes and purchased grapes, while for the third only proprietary grapes from vineyards cultivated with biodynamic methods are used.
