The History
In the southernmost part of the Italian Peninsula, the ancient Enotria (“land of wine”), in the cultural heart of Magna Graecia, there is Palizzi, the southernmost municipality of Calabria. And the Altomonte agricultural estate that Antonino has managed since 1970 is based in Palizzi. Always a tireless winemaker, he has been making and bottling his own wines since the 2000s.
Terroir & Winery
The arid climate of southern Calabria, the predominantly calcareous soils and the saline winds coming from the nearby Ionian Sea make these wines unique and unforgettable.
