The products of Antiche Cantine Migliaccio
The History
Antiche Cantine Migliaccio was founded in 2000 by Luciana Sabino and her husband Emanuele Vittorio (descendant of the Migliaccio family). The location where the estate lives was assigned in 1734 by Charles of Bourbon to Pietro Migliaccio, who brought the typical vines from Ischia (Biancolella, Forastera, Guarnaccia, Aglianico and Piedirosso). These old ungrafted vineyards were recovered by Emanuele Vittorio, who gave them new life, saving them from the weeds that had invaded the rows.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located in Punta Fieno, an area that has remained the most uncontaminated on the island of Ponza, given the difficult access by land and the non-existent landing place by sea. Ungrafted vines on terraces on steep slopes; here the pedoclimatic conditions are truly unique and express wines deeply linked to the territory from which they come.
