We are located in Ghemme, in Northern Piedmont, an area renowned for the production of fine wines. On one side the majestic Alps, on the other the Po Valley; in the middle the suggestive moraine, a hilly area rich in history and geological heritage. It is from these hills, where the roots of Nebbiolo thrive, that the Ancient Cantalupo Vineyards are born.

The History
The history of Cantalupo has deep roots, dating back at least two centuries ago, closely linked to Ghemme and the vineyards of the Arlunno family, present in this Novara community since 1500. In 1969, with the recognition of the Ghemme Doc, Carlo Arlunno began a transformation significant. Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo was officially born on 3 May 1977 and in 1981 Alberto Arlunno took the helm of the newly founded winery.
Terroir & Winery
The Cantalupo vineyards are located on various areas of the first hills of the vast fluvioglacial terrace of Monte Rosa. These vineyards, even very distant from each other, extend at an altitude between 250 and 310 meters above sea level and are oriented towards the South and South-West.
