Ariola

Marcello Ceci, who took over the winery in the 2000s, managed to transform the Ariola winery into a symbol of tradition and innovation, as demonstrated by the prestigious international awards given to his Lambrusco “Marcello”. The estate is an ambassador of Emilian wine in the world, expressing the authenticity and typicality of the Parma area.

The History

The Ariola farm, founded in 1956 by the Forte Rigoni family, is located in the Val di Parma, next to the Rio Ariola from which it takes its name. Marcello Ceci took over the business in 2003, founding Cantina Ariola, after which followed years of careful studies of the territory to best set up the vineyard systems, in harmony with the natural cycles and exposures. Since 2008 the first harvests and from the 2010 harvest Cantina Ariola enters the Olympus of oenology.

Terroir & Winery

The Ariola vineyards are located between 220 and 330 meters above sea level, with a South-West exposure that allows sunlight for the entire day. The soils, composed mainly of silt and clay, and the optimal slope for drainage, offer a perfect environment for the growth of rich and aromatic fruits.
