The History
On the hills surrounding Trento, in Povo, Giuseppe and Marco Baldessari began cultivating abandoned land in their free time. Slowly their passion transformed into their life and in 1983 they left their previous jobs to dedicate themselves completely to the vineyards. From the beginning they worked the vineyard with natural methods and in 1994 they obtained organic certification. The owners’ children, Michela and Mattia, also work in the family business with the same spirit.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located between 450 and 750m above sea level, on the hill east of Trento and the soils that host them are medium-textured limestone, often with a steep slope. To protect them from erosion, the vineyards are all covered in grass and this increases balanced and delicate micro-ecosystems.
