The History
1871 is the year in which the winemaking activity of great-grandfather Giovanni began in Piedmont, in the heart of Roero. The Baracco dynasty has been present in Castellinaldo since 1400 and still continues the tradition today thanks to the two owners: Gabriella and Giuseppe.
Terroir & Winery
We are in Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo. Roero is the area located north of Alba, between the Carmagnola plain and the Asti hills. Compared to other nearby wine-growing areas, Roero is very rich in a great variety of landscapes, with many wooded areas and orchards alternating with vineyards.
