The first organic winery in Franciacorta, Barone Pizzini has always been particularly attentive to producing local wines, respecting the nature that hosts it and the healthiness of the wines it produces; even the architectural and corporate logistics choices have moved in the same direction over the years, managing to create wines of character and quality, sincere children of the Franciacorta land.

The products of Barone Pizzini
The History
The estate has its origins towards the end of the eighteenth century, when a branch of the noble family of Rovereto, the Barons Pizzini von Thurberg, friends of the Mozarts, fell in love with the wealth and fertility of Franciacorta. The Pizzini Agricultural Administration was founded in 1870, and the first bottle of Barone Pizzini Franciacorta was in 1971. In 1998 the winery began the process of converting to organic viticulture, and with the 2002 harvest the first organic Franciacorta was born.
Terroir & Winery
The 30 vineyards are located in different areas of Franciacorta, for a total surface area of approximately 60 hectares; each vineyard has peculiar characteristics, in terms of exposure, altitude and soil composition, ranging from moraine to fluvioglacial depositions. The winery is designed for perfect integration with the environment, and its operation is based on the adoption of bioclimatic strategies and solutions.
