The products of Bosco De Medici
The History
Bosco De Medici is run by two families, Palomba and Monaco, who together since 1996 have cultivated exclusively historical varieties: Piedirosso, Caprettone, Aglianico and Falanghina. The structure is located right next to ancient Pompeii, while the vineyards thrive at 250m above sea level, within the Vesuvius National Park.
Terroir & Winery
The position of the vineyards allows perfect sun exposure and the grapes enjoy the proximity of the sea, with a good temperature range and the benefit of sea breezes. The vines are over 100 years old and the soil is volcanic/sandy, rich in minerals. The numerous eruptions over the centuries have made the Vesuvian soil one of the richest and most fertile in the world.
