Braida – Giacomo Bologna

In 1961, Giacomo Bologna inherited his father Giuseppe’s company, known as “Braida”, and with courage and innovative vision he revolutionized the world of Barbera. He transformed this wine, traditionally considered a simple table wine, into a noble and long-lived product, destined for refinement in French oak barrels. From this intuition, iconic wines such as Barbera Bricco dell’Uccellone were born, which brought this grape variety to international attention. Today, Raffaella and Giuseppe continue to follow the path traced by their father, enhancing their terroir and its unique characteristics.
