The History
Cà du Ferrà originates from the profound love that united Antonio Zoppi, originally from Bonassola, and Aida Forgione, from Campania and winemaker for generations. More than thirty years ago they moved to the Eastern Ligurian Riviera and in 2000 they created Cà du Ferrà, a winery and agritourism; over the years his son Davide also joined the adventure.
Terroir & Winery
The Cà du Ferrà vineyards, all facing south, cover 4 hectares and extend across 4 municipalities: Bonassola, Levanto, Vernazza and Riomaggiore. Heroic viticulture is further complicated by land fragmentation. The microclimate of the area, characterized by mild temperatures and constant breeze, favors the abundant growth of the bunches. The altitude of the vineyards and the proximity to the sea give the wines an extraordinary minerality.
