The History
The estate was founded in 2013 thanks to Luigi Sportiello, a young winemaker from Ventotene. With courage and passion he undertook this challenge in the tenacious desire to revive in Ventotene that viticulture which for centuries has produced oenological excellence, but which had then been abandoned due to the depopulation of the island and the disaffection of young people from agriculture.
Terroir & Winery
The small vineyards are located in the central part of the island about 50 meters above sea level, and rest on soils of volcanic origin, kissed by the sun and enlivened by sea breezes. The rows face south for perfect exposure, with the vines trained in Guyot, and the use of pesticides, insecticides and polluting chemicals is banned. Luigi takes care of and follows the entire production cycle, from the field to the winery up to bottling.
