Cantele

The Cantele winery was officially founded in 1979 in Guagnano, in the province of Lecce, thanks to the passion of Giovanni Battista Cantele and his wife Teresa Manara for Salento. Previously, Giovanni Battista traded bulk wine in northern Italy, often from Puglia. During one of his trips in 1950, he brought with him Teresa, who immediately fell in love with this land, prompting the family to move to Guagnano to dedicate themselves to viticulture. In 1979, together with their father, Augusto and Domenico officially founded the winery. Today the company is led by the third generation, represented by Gianni, Paolo, Umberto and Luisa Cantele, who continue to carry on the family tradition.
