The History
Created by Giuseppe Cencioni in 1957, with the collaboration of his sons Benito and Franco, this winery was one of the first to enter the modern era of Brunello production. They immediately began bottling their wines and, after obtaining the denomination in 1966, Giuseppe was one of the 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino. Today Amedeo Cencioni, fourth generation, is responsible for managing the oenological and agronomic activities within the winery.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are all located in the renowned Montosoli area, which has always been considered one of the best in the area. These vineyards are located north of Montalcino but enjoy a south-east exposure. Thanks to this particular microclimate and the favorable characteristics of the soil, wines of exceptional structure are obtained, always maintaining good acidity and offering an elegant and fruit-rich profile.
