The History
From a rich history of tradition and passion in 1961 some winemakers decided to join together and form a cooperative winery with the aim of producing and spreading Abruzzo wines throughout the world. In 1968, Casal Thaulero made history by becoming the first Abruzzo cooperative to bottle and export DOC wines to NAFTA countries. In 2005, the winery found a new home in Ortona, further consolidating its presence in the region.
Terroir & Winery
In the heart of Abruzzo, the vineyards extend across the hills of the province of Chieti, embraced on one side by the majestic Majella chain and the Gran Sasso, and on the other by the Adriatic coast. This unique terroir exposes the vineyards to both sea breezes and mountain currents, creating diverse microclimates with ideal thermal variations.
