The products of Casalis Douhet
The History
The story begins with Senator Bartolomeo Casalis, born in 1825, a politician and profound expert in the agricultural world, who founded two wineries later inherited by his daughters Ada and Teresa. In 1905, Teresa married General Giulio Douhet, a wine enthusiast and expert. Thus, the winery became “Casalis Douhet.” After various steps, in 1970 the winery was donated to the “P. Colosimo” Institute for the blind in Naples, now owned by the Campania Region, for the education and employment of young blind people.
Terroir & Winery
The estate extends over approximately 160 hectares in a single hilly terrain overlooking the sea. The main production has always been that of wines, and recently new vineyards have been planted with native and international varieties, helping to improve the quality of production.
