Catherine Bernard is a French journalist who embraced her childhood dream, starting the cultivation of some vineyards in Saint-Drézéry in Languedoc to create her wine. She is a courageous woman who found her identity in the wine world, demonstrating her passion and dedication.

The products of Catherine Bernard

The History

In 2005, Catherine settled in Saint-Drézéry, a town located between Montpellier and Sommières, on a 3-hectare property, with 1 hectare planted in Marselan and Mourvèdre. Over the years, small portions of old vineyards from Cinsault, Carignan and Alicante, then Grenache, Mourvèdre and Terret-Bourret were added. In 2015 she created an eco-climatic winery and starting from the 2017 harvest her eldest son Nicolas joined her.

Terroir & Winery

The land and vines are cultivated with certified organic farming, together with the targeted use of biodynamic practices, with the use of herbal teas, decoctions and essential oils. The winemaking is carried out respecting the balance of three elements: alcohol, acidity and tannins, without the use of external products, without clarifications and filtrations, and with infinitesimal use of sulfur dioxide only if strictly necessary.
