Caven

The Caven Agricultural Company was founded in 1982 by brothers Stefano and Simone Nera. “Caven” is the ancient name of the place where the company stands today, in the municipality of Chiuro in Valtellina. Over the years the company has acquired several vineyards in the renowned areas of Valtellina Superiore DOCG; today there are around 30 hectares of vineyards, 13 of which fall in the Inferno sub-area, the smallest in Valtellina with 55 total hectares registered in the wine register. Tradition, respect and valorisation of the territory have always characterized the work of the company which in recent years has also dedicated itself to training young people in working in the vineyard and in pruning, with the aim of transmitting fundamental knowledge for the life of the Valtellina community.
