Cembrani DOC wants to express the viticulture of the Cembra Valley, thanks to the collaboration of various companies. The number “708” on the label recalls the kilometers of dry stone walls present in the valley, living testimony to the enormous efforts necessary to cultivate in these impervious lands, reachable only on foot and worked without mechanical means.

The History
An area cultivated with vines since Etruscan times, the Cembra Valley is the oldest cradle of vine cultivation in Trentino. In 2012, seven producers from the valley formed a consortium, and each winery selected a particular area, vinified the grapes and gave it to the consortium for the creation of a red, a white, a sparkling wine and a grappa.
Terroir & Winery
The territory has unique pedoclimatic characteristics. The first concerns the volcanic porphyry present in large quantities underground, the second is represented by the exposure of the sun to the South-East which allows the cultivation of grapes from 200 meters above the river up to 900 meters above sea level. The last is the presence during the pre-harvest period of a strong temperature range which gives the grapes great aromatic power.
