The products of Cenatiempo
The History
The Cenatiempo estate was born in the first half of the twentieth century, with a small winery on the port of Ischia where Francesco Cenatiempo bottled bulk wine. Upon his father’s death, the management of the estate passed to his son Pasquale, who grew it to its current size: 6 hectares divided into approximately 15 plots, including small island suppliers and directly managed vineyards.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located on impervious terraces at around 500m above sea level, where mechanization could not reach even if it wanted. In the field, biodynamic preparations are used, which allow the natural growth and care of the plants, while in the winery the processing phases favor the use of native yeasts, soft pressing, minimal use of sulphites and controlled temperatures.
