Under the imposing Biella Prealps, near Monte Rosa, Castellengo Castle is the guardian of a long winemaking tradition. Magda and Alessandro Ciccioni constantly revitalize this legacy, restoring the historic vineyards on the property, called “Centovigne” because it is made up of small vineyards between Castellengo Castle and Mottalciata, in Upper Piedmont.

The History
In 1999, Magda and Alessandro began their winemaking journey after studying oenology. They started with a small plot in Mottalciata, obtaining excellent results which pushed them to take care of the vineyards neglected by the local elders. Their passion for the recovery of ancient vineyards led to the discovery and appreciation of numerous small lands, gradually reconstructing the historic property.
Terroir & Winery
Magda and Alessandro’s expertise allows them to implement targeted strategies to preserve the vitality of the soil, characterized by an acidic pH and distinctive microfauna. The strong minerality of the soil gives their wines an extraordinary flavor and elegance.
