The History
Patrick Lèon, one of the most renowned winemakers in the world, after his experiences with Mouton Rothschild, Opus One, Almaviva and Mondavi, has found his new dimension in Fronsac. In 1995, he acquired Chateau Les Trois Croix to create the family wine, seeking to express the Terroir of Fronsac, specifically that of Les Trois Croix, in each vintage.
Terroir & Winery
The whole process begins in the vineyard with winter pruning according to the double Guyot. A meticulous daily control of the vineyards minimizes interventions. During Spring and Summer, defoliation and thinning of superfluous buds, and before harvesting two further defoliations and a green harvest to regulate the number of bunches, aiming for perfect ripening of the grapes.
