The products of Chateau Mille Roses
The History
The Château has origins in the 18th century, but the winery was renovated only in 1999. After the death of their parents, David Favre and his wife Sophie inherited the estate. Having completed his oenological studies, David decided to create his vineyard calling it “Mille Roses – Le Mille Rose” in homage to his mother’s passion for roses and the aromatic content of his wines.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located between two important Château: Giscours and Cantemerle and are divided between the AOC Margaux (a single plot of 4 hectares in Arsac) and Haut-Médoc (4 plots around the castle, in Macau). Style based entirely on the terroir: no over-ripening, no excessive extraction, no “wooding”, use of sulfur dioxide reduced to a minimum.
