Saint-Émilion Grand Crù 2014
56,90 €
The estate is located southwest of Saint-Emilion and has its origins in the 17th century. The story tells of an advisor to Louis XIV who built the castle and named it Trianon in honor of the Grand Trianon of Versailles.
Château Trianon was created at the end of the 17th century by influential notables from Libourne and Saint-Émilion, as a tribute to the royal court. In the 19th century, Trianon was a pleasure residence surrounded by meadows and vineyards, belonging to the Andrieu and Lecointre families. Until 1952 only 4 hectares of vineyard were exploited, which were then gradually expanded to the current 15 hectares.
Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion, the 15 hectares of the estate extend over the south-west plateau of the appellation area, and rest on clay-sandy soils rich in iron, with red gravel on the surface in some plots.
