The History
Cantine Colosi have a history in the wine sector that dates back to the 1940s, when Pietro Colosi began trading wine. In 1987 his son Piero, having completed his studies in oenology at the agricultural institute of Catania, began working in the family business, immediately giving new impetus to the business. Today a third Pietro Colosi, having obtained a degree in oenology in San Michele all’Adige, has joined his father of the same name and his mother Lidia, contributing to the complete management of the winery activities.
Terroir & Winery
Salina, a small island in the Aeolian archipelago, is a land highly suited to the cultivation of vines. The area is considered among the best both for exposure and for the soil of volcanic origin. In addition to the 10 hectares of Salina, the winery makes use of historical collaboration with Sicilian growers from other areas.
