Damijan Podversic

The roots date back to grandfather Gildo who over the years scraped together some land to cultivate and opened a tavern in Gorizia. The tavern then passed to his son Francesco, who built a winery to vinify the wine to be served in the restaurant. After graduating as a wine technician, his son Damijan joined the family business and in 1998 produced his first bottle, against the will of his father Francesco who prevented his son from using the winery behind the tavern, forcing him to find some spaces for rent nearby.
