The History
Three friends, Girolamo D’Amico, Louis Rapini and Ulrico Priore created, in 1979, the appreciated production of “d’Araprì” sparkling wines, the only Apulian winery that exclusively produces sparkling wines with the classic method, among the very few in the whole of the South of Italy. 2019 saw the full entry of the new generation, namely the children Anna d’Amico, Daniele Rapini and Antonio Priore, with the transformation of the winery into an Agricultural Society.
Terroir & Winery
Thanks to the protection offered by the Majella mountains and the Gargano promontory, this area is not subject to frost. The presence of good wind and low rainfall prevent the development of mould. The soil is calcareous-clayey, with silt and sand, at an altitude between 80 and 100m above sea level, with a slight slope. The area enjoys excellent sun exposure and significant daily temperature variations.
