The History
In 1838, William Deutz and Hubert Geldermann, two Prussian wine merchants, founded the Maison with the aim of producing Champagne. Subsequent generations have expanded the business, maintaining the family craftsmanship and producing prestigious Champagnes. Maison Deutz has thus become one of the great Champagne realities.
Terroir & Winery
The Maison owns a notable park of vineyards, mainly classified as Grand and Premier Cru. Pinot Noir is the predominant grape variety, which has always been the hallmark of the maison, followed by Chardonnay and Meunier. Each parcel is harvested and vinified separately to enhance its characteristics and have a wide range of vins clairs available at the time of assembly. The use of steel is preferred to preserve purity and freshness, while complexity and depth are entrusted to refinement.
