The History
Jean-Louis Raillard took over this small family estate in 1989, maintaining the values of respect for terroir and wine. He was “Born and raised” in the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, where his parents worked for years, and currently teaches at the important wine school “Centre de Formation Professionnelle et de Promotion Agricole de Beaune” (CFPPA).
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards over 50 years old are managed under rational control with artisanal and very tidy soil cultivation. The grapes are harvested and pressed by hand, vinified in small volumes separately. The wine matures in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months.
