The History
Fattoria del Pino is a family business born and located in Montalcino in the Montosoli area in 2000. When the brother who ran it passed away in 2006, Jessica Pellegrini decided to take over the reins of the farm. Not only that: until then the winery had limited itself to cultivating and delivering the precious grapes; Jessica instead wants to make wine and bottle. Within a few years the winery managed to make its way and become a highly esteemed and appreciated reality.
Terroir & Winery
The Montosoli Cru north of Montalcino is among the most famous of the denomination; the cool temperatures, perfect exposure and constant ventilation allow the vine to grow in optimal conditions. The strong presence of galestro on arenaceous calcareous clays in the soil represents a uniqueness compared to the rest of the territory, and gives the wine freshness and elegance. Jessica vinifies very healthy grapes in a traditional and artisanal way, with spontaneous fermentations, medium-long macerations and without clarification and filtration.
