The products of Fattoria Di Lamole
The History
In 1870 the notary Giovanni Socci founded the Fattoria di Lamole, which then established itself under the guidance of his son Carlo, co-founder of the Chianti Classico Consortium in 1924; it will then be the turn of his son Giorgio, who in 1956 obtained recognition as the best large specialized winery in Tuscany. Since the 2000s, Paolo Socci, Giorgio’s son, has been managing the winery and, in addition to perpetuating the wine heritage passed down to him, he has also recovered the ancient family vineyards that had been abandoned.
Terroir & Winery
The wines authentically reflect the distinctive characteristics of the Lamole area, which are mainly due to the presence of alberese and galestro soils, with iron and manganese. These wines offer elegant and delicate sensations of violets, with subtle notes of undergrowth, and a full, mineral drink. Vinification in steel, long aging in used barriques.
