The History
In the 19th century Giovanni Rinaldi purchased a farmhouse with a vineyard on the Cannubi hill, in Barolo. His son Francesco inherited the property in 1922 and gave shape to the winery, as well as baptizing it with his name. Michele and Luciano will subsequently manage the winery until today with Paola and Piera Rinaldi, who have also managed to open up to the international market.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards of the winery represent the different facets of the Barolo production area. These soils vary from the compact and marl-rich soils of the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, to the more clayey ones present in La Morra. In Barolo, on the slope where the winery is located, the perfect balance is found, right at the Cannubi, where limestone, clay and sand mix in a harmonious soil.
