In 1999, Anna made a significant life decision, leaving behind test tubes and stills from the laboratories of the University of Ferrara, where she had obtained her degree, to return to her homeland, Friuli. Since then, for over 20 years, he has managed the winery in all its aspects, with the constant aim of improving with each harvest, betting on the extraordinary potential of the Prepotto area.

The History

An ancient 18th century residence immersed in the vineyards of the Colli Orientali del Friuli has hosted the winery for almost forty years. The winery was born from the passion of Sergio Muzzolini who in the Seventies purchased the first hectare of vineyard with the aim of being able to enjoy a good glass of genuine wine together with friends. Now it is his daughter Anna who leads the winery, after its turning point in 1999: from Ferrara surrounded by test tubes, to Albana di Prepotto surrounded by vineyards.

Terroir & Winery

On the current nine hectares of vineyards, which mainly extend into the hills, the native Friulian varieties Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Picolit, Verduzzo Friulano, Refosco and Schioppettino are cultivated. In addition to these, the three international vines historically consolidated in Friuli: Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
