Rosé Brut "Leonard" Grand Crù
58,20 €
For five generations the Henriet-Bazin family has been working the land, taking care of the vineyards and making their wines on a few hectares in the heart of the Montagne de Reims.
The small winery, founded in 1890, originated thanks to the initiative of three partners who decided not to give all their grapes to the large wine houses of the time, as was customary at the time, and instead allocate part of the harvest to own winemaking, starting the production activity. One of the three partners was Gaston Henriet, the great-grandfather of Marie-Noelle Bazin, who has been at the helm of the winery since 1991.
The approximately eight hectares are divided into around forty plots spread over three villages: Verzy and Verzenay, both Grand Cru, and Villers-Marmery, a Premier Cru village. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier planted almost in equal parts, chalky subsoil and expert craftsmanship.
