In the Colli Euganei Regional Park, south of Padua, there is Villa Emo Capodilista, a 16th century building that is the symbol of the agricultural winery. Managed with creativity and foresight by Count Giordano, always careful to preserve his wines in the historical context and tradition, the recovery of Turkish grapes, included in the “Wines in Italian cities – Padua” collection, is significant in its production.

The History
Twenty-second generation of the noble Emo Capodilista family, among the founders of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, Giordano Emo Capodilista safeguards and looks after the historic property: the 1100s winery with its 20 hectares of vineyards, and the splendid 16th century villa.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are divided into two plots: the first is surrounded by woods and is close to the villa, while the second is located not far away in the Beone area. Local varieties such as Raboso, Moscato Fior d’Arancio, and Carmenere are cultivated, together with the international Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The processing is oriented towards eco-sustainability, using solar energy, recycling the pruned shoots as fuel and drawing water from a natural aquifer.
