La Sénéchalière

Domaine La Sénéchalière is located in Saint-Julien-de-Concelles, a small municipality in the Loire. The winery is managed by Marc Pesnot who is the descendant of a family that has always been linked to wine and rooted in the territory. Marc, after collaborating with some artisanal wine producers, decides to convert his Domaine to organic with biodynamic practices, and produce the same type of wine, pure and without artifices. 20 hectares of vineyards located on soils rich in shale, slate and pebbles, where he grows two varieties of grapes: Melon and Folle Blanche. With the concern for the expression of the terroir, in addition to having banned synthetic products from the vineyard, in the winery Marc does not add any oenological product to the grape must, does not correct the acidity of the wines and does not add yeasts. Despite working in the Muscadet appellation he has chosen not to classify his wines as such, preferring his working philosophy to the restrictions of the appellation.
