Le Due Terre

The name “Le Due Terre” is a tribute to the terroir of the estate; the small vineyard of only 4 hectares in fact rests on two distinct soils: one of red earth, the other of marl (in Friuli called ponca), which tends to crumble to the point of becoming flakes.

The products of Le Due Terre

The History

In 1984, after various experiences in various wineries, Silvana Forte and Flavio Basilicata purchased a farmhouse with four hectares of vineyard in a single body and Le Due Terre was born, a small winery in Prepotto, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, on the border with Slovenia. Over the years, the winery will become an absolute reference for quality and respect for this territory, but the hectares still remain the four from the beginning.

Terroir & Winery

In the vineyard the work is absolutely essential, with small natural interventions that acwinery the plant. The same applies in the winery, where craftsmanship is the constant feature, with spontaneous fermentations without the addition of sulphur, no clarification and a light filtration in the final phase.
