The History
In the municipality of Westhalten, in a magical place surrounded by splendid vineyards at the foot of the two highest mountains of the Vosges chain, the Boesch family has lived and worked the land since 1640. With Matthieu we are in the eleventh generation of vignerons. There are 13 hectares of vineyards owned, 2.5 of which are in the Grand Cru Zinnkoepfle.
Terroir & Winery
The unique location of Westhalten and its vineyards gives the wines a strong personality. Its microclimate, among the driest in all of Alsace, produces exceptional grapes which, in the expert hands of the Boesch family, are transformed into fascinating wines. The grapes coming from the Grand Cru Zinnkoepfle are undoubtedly the protagonists, with vines that are almost a hundred years old and which are cared for with great dedication.
