Lo Sparviere
The Lo Sparviere agricultural winery is located in Monticelli Brusati, in the province of Brescia, south-east of Lake Iseo. In the manor house, the historic nucleus of the winery, on the majestic fireplace inside the hall, there is an ancient depiction of the mortarboard that gives its name to the winery.

The History
Mrs. Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta inherits the passion for viticulture from her father-in-law, lawyer Franco Gussalli, who had a long tradition of agricultural activities in Franciacorta. Initially, they produce small quantities of wine for friends and family, but over time, they expand and develop the winery. Currently, they manage over 60 hectares of land, of which 30 are cultivated with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, strictly following organic farming methods since 2013.
Terroir & Winery
The winery’s vineyards are located in the municipalities of Monticelli Brusati and Provaglio d’Iseo, near the first hills of the Lombard Prealps. The soils, unlike the morainic ones in other areas of Franciacorta, are native and mainly composed of calcareous marl known as “Lombard flint”. The rich composition of minerals and sedimentary clays in this area gives structure and flavor to Franciacorta Lo Sparviere wines.
