The History
Marguet was founded in 1905 in Ambonnay. In 2008 Benoît Marguet, fifth generation of the family, undertook the project of creating his own reality, starting from 8 hectares of vineyards magnificently located between Ambonnay and Bouzy, among the best Grand Crus of Champagne, giving a completely artisanal imprint to the winery.
Terroir & Winery
The work in the vineyards is entrusted to two horses, and as regards the treatments, only natural preparations are used. Even in the winery, minimal intervention is carried out: fermentations take place with indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels, Bordeaux barriques and oak vats. Prolonged macerations are carried out on the fine lees and the use of sulphites is limited to a minimum.
