The History

The winery was founded in 1980, when Andrea Ferraioli, descendant of a historic family of winemakers, dedicated the vineyards inherited from his father to his future wife, Marisa Cuomo, as a wedding gift. Andrea revived the historic “Gran Furor Divina Costiera” brand, founded in 1942 to promote the wines of the Fiordo di Furore, blending tradition and innovation in the new production facility.

Terroir & Winery

The viticulture practiced here is described as “heroic,” with entirely manual work on terrain impossible to mechanize, with vines trained on pergolas on rocky cliffs overlooking the sea. The unique microclimate, exposure to the sun and sea, and volcanic and alluvial soils all contribute to giving the wines a strong personality and great expressive value.
