The products of Massolino
The History
The history of Massolino begins in 1896 with Giovanni, in Serralunga d’Alba. The actual winery will then be built by Giuseppe, Giovanni’s son, who also founded the Barolo and Barbaresco Consortium in 1934. After Giuseppe’s expansion of the winery, his children Giovanni, Camilla and Renato purchased the legendary Vigna Rionda cru and subsequently other important crus. Today, Franco and Roberto Massolino, together with their uncle Renato, lead the winery.
Terroir & Winery
The winery owns five renowned Barolo crus: three are located in Serralunga d’Alba, where the winery is located: Vigna Rionda, Margheria and Parafada; In the municipality of Castiglione Falletto he grows one and a half hectares on the Parussi cru, and in Neive two hectares on the Albesani cru.
