The History
The winery was founded in 1993 thanks to the fervent passion of Alfonso Arpino, a doctor by profession, who began taking care of the family vineyards. Subsequently, he decided to acquire further more than one hundred year old vineyards in the area to enrich the production. Since 1997, the winery has been committed to organic farming, thus preserving the uncontaminated and lush nature of the Tramontina area.
Terroir & Winery
There are five small owned vineyards, with an average height of 450m, on volcanic soil: Monte di Grazia, from which the winery takes its name, Casina, Madonna del Carmine, Vignarella and Casa di Mario, for just over two hectares of vineyards , plus others still in the woods and chestnut groves. Almost all of the vineyard planting follows the Tramontina pergola method, grown by offshoot and using chestnut poles to support the vines, hulled by hand and left to mature for at least a year.
