Necotium

Necotium is the name that Christian Patat gave to his small business in Friuli, on the border with Slovenia; the name derives from the Latin “nec otium”, i.e. “not idle”, in reference to Christian’s tireless “getting busy”, and is also a reference to the “negotiant” activity with which his adventure began: with the help of small friendly producers he was able to exploit the spaces and tools necessary for the creation of his own wines, purchasing the grapes from them and making wine independently; rented plots were then added which Christian cultivates directly for his production.
