The products of Podere Concori
The History
Podere Còncori was born from the ambition of Luigi Da Prato who purchased the property in the 1950s and began producing wine in demijohns for the family tavern. Then comes his son Gabriele, who supports Luigi both in the tavern and in the vineyard, until in 1998 he decides to give up the role of innkeeper to dedicate himself completely to viticulture, reversing the course from conventional to biodynamic agriculture, from quantity to quality.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located on schistose soils from the Miocene period, characterized by stone pebbles and a notable concentration of silica due to the Serchio river which flows from the northern Apennines. The constant ventilation coming from the Apennines creates a special microclimate that favors the healthy growth of the Guyot-trained vines.
