The products of Pojer & Sandri
The History
The Pojer & Sandri winery was born in 1975 from the meeting of two young people from Trentino: Mario Pojer, fresh from graduating in oenology in San Michele all’Adige, and Fiorentino Sandri, who had just inherited around two hectares of vineyards. The first wine produced was an extraordinary Palai Müller Thurgau ’75. Following an almost immediate success, the winery grows thanks to the acquisition of new land and currently the vineyard area is 33 hectares, distributed across 6 different municipalities.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are distributed in two main territories: Val di Cembra, of volcanic origin with abundant presence of porphyry, on significant slopes, and Faedo and San Michele, with sedimentary and calcareous terroir formed by the alluvial action of the Adige. The most extreme point is the Maso Rella in Grumes, located at 850 meters above sea level between the Val di Cembra and the Val d’Adige, surrounded by a 50 hectare forest.
