Redondel is a small agricultural winery located in Mezzolombardo in the Piana Rotaliana. It is managed by Paolo Zanini, who says of himself: “I make wine because I wouldn’t know how to do anything else and I’m proud of it; when I am among my vineyards I feel at home, more than when I actually am.”

The History
Paolo Zanini manages the small family business, started by his grandfather with the production of Teroldego when Trentino was still under the control of the Austrians, who supplied themselves with red wines here. With so much pride and love for his land and his work, Paolo has taken this family tradition into his own hands, transforming it into a true “Teroldego mission”.
Terroir & Winery
Paolo grows exclusively Teroldego grapes, the undisputed queen of the Piana Rotaliana. The plain has an alluvial origin which has caused a non-uniform distribution of pebbles, gravel and stones in the land. As a result, the Redondèl vineyards, divided into six plots, grow on different soils, each giving the wines distinctive characteristics.
